About me and what I'm looking for:

I just moved to the city after many years in the mountains of Colorado. So where do you park your horse around here?

I was recently divorced, and had the privilege of being on the cast of an ABC primetime reality show featuring that part of my life. When it airs this summer, I can tell you all the juicy secrets if you are curious. I'm hoping that the show will help many divorced people. I know it helped me. Ok, enough about that! Lets move on ...

I'm enjoying my life right now and my friends can see it in my smile. I'm looking for someone else who is happy as well and is ready to be a kid again. Except, without the whole 'cooties' part.

I've been told by many of my friends that I am intelligent and a dork. I think I'm more accurately described as knowing a little bit about a lot of things, and I'm a dork. My two beautiful daughters think I'm a dork too ... and their hero. My daughters (ages 9 and 7) live with me "some of the time", but I wish it was all of the time. My little ladies are incredible people and I hope the person I meet enjoys being around them as much as I do.

I really enjoy the Colorado outdoors; the quiet and the dark night sky. I love to sit outside and listen to the sounds that most people miss. I have a passion for cooking (inside) and if you play your cards right, I'll try out a new recipe with you. I'm kind, strong, witty, generous and love it when I get the opportunity to try new things.

I'm looking for someone who is honest, easy on the eyes, adventurous, healthy, fun and can stand listening to some country music once in a while. You might also need a sense of humor because you never know what will pop out of my mouth when my brain is turned off.

And finally, my photos are current (except for the shaved head one) and hopefully yours are too. ;)

for fun:

I like moving picture shows. I enjoy going to the rodeo and visiting restaurants that I've never...well...visited. I also like to do adventurous things, like backcountry snowshoeing and shopping without coupons. I like pork.

my job:

You know those little votive candles? The unscented white ones? Well, in order for the wick to stay secure, there is this little metal piece at the bottom. I repair those metal pieces. Sometimes with just my bare hands.

my ethnicity:

I'm white...and I could use a better tan. I'll work on that. I was born in Heidelberg, Germany and can understand some German. If you speak a foreign language, I'll melt. But, I won't understand you most likely.

my education:

I went to Colorado State University for 5 years and had a great time. I studied Computer Science and Graphic Design. I did not graduate because I found a career that didn't require a degree. Plus ... I was tired.

favorite hot spots:

In LoDo, I like the Vesta Dipping grill and Sing Sing. In the Golden area, my place of choice is the Yard House. I'll travel just about anywhere with the right person. Road trips are great! The zoo can be fun if you call everything a chicken.

favorite things:

I have a propensity for singing Brad Paisley songs until my voice is gone. I love all types of music and am teaching myself the piano now. I like making my friends and my kids smile. I also enjoy reality TV and horseback riding.

last read:

I just finished 'House' by Frank Peretti. It was a campy horror novel that apparently will be made into a movie soon. I wasn't that impressed with it. I'm looking for my next 'read' now. Got any suggestions?
